Carving the Divine is a documentary film that offers a rare look into a 1400-year-old Buddhist woodcarving tradition and the practitioners struggling to preserve its legacy in a rapidly changing Japan.
In this demonstration they will show kata along with some explanations and application. Afterward they will discuss and explain the woodworking side and how it applies to our current practice along with opportunities for questions and answers.
